Heart Rate Watches - Should you get them?

I have always exercised by doing simple aerobic activities, such as walking or running, and I always based my weight loss on online calculators. If I walked for 5 miles, for example, I would mark my loss as 550 Cals for the week. I thought this was more than sufficient, and for a while it worked.

But then I got a Bowflex Watch and it made ALL the difference.

With this watch, and the belt that comes with it, I'm able to track my heart rate in real time. This way, while I'm exercising, I can burn the most fat I can. The higher your Heart Rate, the more fat you burn, and in aerobic exercises the goal is to keep your heart rate at a high point. With this watch I'm able to work harder if I'm not in the 70% range, or work easier if I'm in the 85%+ heart rate range. With this watch I was able to achieve a 1193 calorie burn in a single hour workout!

Do I recommend the watches? Heck yeah! Get yourself one if you want to make the most out of your workout.

Cramps!

I woke up this morning with a little wince. I had a horrible stomach ache last night and I figured that I probably under cooked the chicken or something, but when I examined myself a little further I found that I had muscle pain! My abs are aching. I think over did it with the crunches yesterday, heh. So I didn't get to exercise. I feel horrible about it but I'll make up for it tomorrow.

In other news, I finally got myself a Heart Rate Monitor! It's a Bowflex Watch that checks your Heart Rate, Calorie Burn, and much more stuff I haven't found out yet. It fits perfectly, and it was on sale for HALF THE PRICE. It was such a great deal I had to get it. Now I can finally figure out how much calories I'm burning without relying on iffy internet calculators that give me weird calorie burn amounts. I'll try it out tomorrow and see how it goes.

Hello everyone! I'd like to formally welcome you to my new diet blog. Here I will post my experiences with detoxing and exercising, including all my downfalls and successes, and everything that has worked for me personally.

In addition I strongly want to encourage you guys to make the healthy changes as well! There is nothing better than waking up refreshed in the morning, and feeling like you are doing something good for your body. The food we eat nowadays - processed, fast-food, deep fried, and all that is not good for us! We are the fattest nation on  this earth. We need to make that change, and it all starts with your life.

Better lifestyle means a better outlook on life. You will feel HAPPIER. Don't you want to feel happy? Then start the change!
